Store Seeds Correctly or they will rot!

I kid you not, this is important...

Although we at survivalist seeds were the first to offer to the public - bulk heirloom seeds, it did not take long before copycats like survivalistseedbank and all the others jumped in to copy everything we did, until they couldn't match our variety and quality. However, since all were either marketing companies or dehydrated food companies with no gardening experience, they make the mistake of putting their living seeds in sterile death chambers like foil bags and tin coffee cans rather than the century old acid free paper envelope.

Why would this matter? Well, since they promote the idea of long term storage of the seeds, they should provide you with seeds that will germinate a decade from now.  Unfortunately, many people are going to be very disappointed when they decide to plant their heirloom seeds from these huckster companies and find that the seeds are dead, rotted to the core because they were trapped inside a container that will not allow the seeds to breathe/expel their natural surrounding humidity. While paper envelopes allow the seed to stay dry by expelling moisture, a sealed coffee can or foiled envelope traps the seed.

I have purchased every competitor's heirloom seed package and have opened them after just 2 years. My findings are exactly as I expected. If you have purchased heirloom seeds from any company other than a reputable seed company like us- http://www.survivalistseeds.com or http://www.rareseeds.com or
http://www.seedsavers.com  you are in for a rude awakening.  So get the word out because there are a lot of good people thinking they have a long term food solution, and will only be starving like many others when the great crash arrives.
